Hello Reader,

As one does when you're the sole person running a business—particularly one that is online and open 24-7, I'm checking in on this last day of the year—exporting my inventory reports, checking messages and some other year-end bookkeeping. But I'm also definitely still in "holiday mode" and have been sleeping in precisely 15 minutes later each day, which is sort of funny. I slept in until 9:30 this morning! Amazing!

I will get crafty this afternoon by playing with my feed sacks scraps collection and doing some english paper piecing. (The Feed Sacks reprint crowdfunding is going well with 101 supporters—and I have found more 5-inch feed sack swatches, so now the first 200 preorders will include an authentic swatch with the book.)

Holiday time means more time for making! Finley gave me a marbling kit for Christmas, so we've had some fun with that. We both have our watercolours at the ready, so maybe we'll do that tomorrow. I'm also attempting to recover a lampshade, and that's an interesting challenge. I've also sewed a few things, too, and patched Finley's favourite pants for a second time, just laying another patch on top of the weathered older one. These things are all very satisfying!

Volume G: Glue

Volume G: Glue will feature artists, designers and craftspeople who use collage and assemblage in their work. Beyond traditional collage, we will feature an eclectic variety of interpretations, mediums and methods that artists use to hold it all together. Its (tentative) release will be in September 2025.

AUDITIONS If you want to be profiled in the book, please review the details on the entry form page. The audition entry fee is $100 (USD), and it includes a copy of the book. Auditions close on February 5.

Volume F: Feed Sacks Reprint

The first volume in my Encyclopedia of Inspiration, Feed Sacks will be back on press in 2025. The schedule depends on the crowdfunding goal of raising $60,000 by April. 12% funded so far, thank you!
