Hello Reader,
I hope you're doing ok today.
If you need an uplifting respite, may I suggest spending some time with UPPERCASE magazine and books?
The newest issue, #65, is the April-May-June edition. It is now in the post for all subscribers (those with active subscriptions as of March 12) and on its way to my fulfillment partner so that recent purchases will be sent out as soon as possible.
I've been exploring a new way for readers to access always inspiring back issues—even those that have been out-of-print for years! I've been quietly rolling this out for members of the UPPERCASE Circle; now everyone can check it out here and be one of the first to have access to the Archive.

Do something good
Small acts of kindness. Volunteering our time. Giving generously. We can do these things in our everyday lives. Not only do they help others, but you'll feel better, too.
100% of Little U's sales go to UNICEF Canada. So far this year, we've raised $2,760. I'll be sending in the donation on April 1st, so a few more days left in the month if you'd like to purchase the Little U bundle.
This week, I committed to a monthly donation to the United Nations World Food Programme, ShareTheMeal. UPPERCASE will be supporting 50 meals per month.

Masks by Diane Fine
Masks have proliferated down through the ages. In almost every civilization, from primitive to present day masquerades, humans have created other personas to worship, hide behind or entertain. The language of facial expressions is powerfully promoted in a mask. They can make you laugh, cry or cower. As a child, I remember making paper bag masks. This past year, when I went to the fruit market, I noticed the cardboard baskets the fruit came in fit perfectly over my face (sans fruit). I couldn't resist making a series of masks that now keep me company in my studio. They cheer me up. All I did was paint a layer of acrylic paint on. In some cases, I cut out the eyes, nose and mouth—in others, I just left them as decorative pieces. I am now always on the lookout for other mask-friendly materials. Instagram / Website
