Do this today...

Hello Reader,

Peace, kindness, empathy and generosity to you and all humans.

It's hard to concentrate. I'm doing what I can to create goodness.

Part of that means not ignoring my responsibilities to my readership, so please pardon this unscheduled message. ***Today's message is a general message sent to everyone on my email list—separately, for the past week, I have been sending renewal reminders to those folks whose subscriptions have concluded or are up for renewal.***

Creative Boost Subscription Draw
CLOSES TODAY AT 5pm MDT

If you're going through a tough time financially, medically, or for other reasons and cannot afford to subscribe, you are welcome to apply for a Creative Boost subscription giveaway. The entry form is open until June 9, 5pm MDT. My thanks to generous readers who have sponsored some of these free subscriptions.

Mailing list for the next issue (#66, July-Aug-Sept)

This is a reminder that issue #66 (July-Aug-Sept) mailing data will be compiled this week—to stay on schedule, I should provide the list to my printer Wednesday morning.

When I send an issue to the printer, many things are happening simultaneously. The printer is prepping its printing plates and getting ready for physical production. Meanwhile, I've estimated how many subscribers I think I'll have and have ordered the kraft mailer envelopes. Then, I have to do whatever I can to ensure that as many people who intended to renew have done so, and that I've put in a good effort to get new subscribers on board. Mailing issues en masse from the printer is always the most economical way of getting an issue to a subscriber. Postage is way less expensive done this way (I get publications and media mail rates for hundreds of magazines processed in bulk as opposed to individual shipments from my fulfillment partner). It is also the most environmentally efficient option since the magazine goes from the printer into postal systems, instead of being sent from the printer to the fulfillment company and then to the reader.

Please subscribe, renew or update your mailing address today.

The code keepgoing gives Can$10 off subscriptions and renewals.
