Thankful for YOU

Hello Reader,

Here's a shot of the Glue book on my desk at the end of the day, with some creative clutter and my computer in the background...

And the resulting product shot, below. Nothing glamorous about my photography setup, that's for sure!

My logistical to-do list for the Glue book is ✅, meaning all copies are en route to everyone who has ordered it so far. New orders will be dispatched next week, after the Thanksgiving holiday Monday here in Canada.

Thank you to everyone who preordered the book and supported it through the many months of writing and design.

I do my absolute best with each and every project. I think it shows in the end result, be it Glue or the current issue #67. Once something is printed and released, it goes out into the world and must speak for itself. Aside from my newsletters, I don't have a marketing plan or a scheduled social media strategy. That's why I am so grateful when you share about the book on Instagram or tell your creative friends. Your recommendations are very helpful to me, as well as to the artists profiled within. Thank you!

I am grateful to have wonderful readers like you!

Happy Thanksgiving. 🇨🇦

Submissions about the creative life..

A Few Good Things About Today
by Christine Richards

A different kind of journal. Like a lot of journals, there's plenty of space in this book to write. But this one's just for the good stuff. A few years ago, I started a good things journal and thought you might like one, too. So I designed one. A place to record the small wins and wonder in your day. Things that make you smile, give you comfort, or lift your spirits. Especially when times are tough. Using my original collage and illustration throughout, this journal will help you focus on finding the good in your life. Add to your journal as often as you can, and keep it where you'll see it, with a pen or pencil nearby. Because, like me, once you start looking, chances are you'll find more than a few good things about your day. And it makes a great gift, too. Website

Visual Notes on Daily Life
by Saba Lashay

Through my illustrations, I explore the everyday emotions that shape our mental health—transforming themes like anxiety, self-doubt, or inner resilience into visual stories. My work aims to spark gentle reflection and inspiration, offering viewers a sense of comfort, relatability, and hope! Instagram / Website

Creative Affirmation Cards
by Vicki Lovegrove

Ever feel creatively stuck? I think we all do. The best way to get unstuck is to disrupt your thinking, challenge whether what you are feeling is true, and inspire your imagination. That's why I created my VISION Creative Affirmation Cards, to help clear the little foggy clouds in our creative days. I wrote the affirmations so that they talk to your subconscious mind. I designed them around the word VISION; each card has a letter on it, so that you can pull a set of cards or an individual card. The cards are available for worldwide order from my website.
