Holiday Cards

Sending holiday cards is one of my favourite activities of the season. I make, decorate envelopes, adorn them with vintage postage every year and have them postmarked from a holiday themed post office (ie~ Santa Claus, Indiana, Bethlehem, New Hampshire etc) For the past 4 years I have incorporated old family photos into my unique cut paper collage design. The process of creating these happens several weeks, of course, before the cards are addressed and ready for mailing. It all started when I became the keeper of the family photos, and I wanted to find a way to share them with others rather than keep them buried in a closet. Instagram

Advent of Tessellations

Advent of Tessellations is a daily origami tessellation folding challenge that I run every year, with daily tutorials released from December 1-25. These tutorials start with beginner-level patterns and get harder as you go, reaching some stunning patterns by the end of the challenge - each of which is folded from one hexagon of paper. This daily challenge has both meditative and highly focused aspects to the folding, making an excellent break from normal life, and the videos will stay available permanently, giving you plenty of time to practice each pattern.
