Every time I type “Happy New Year,” I want to add a question mark to the phrase: Happy New Year ? I personally don't feel like adding an exclamation mark this year; that would be too presumptuous. Too loud. Too excited.
Given recent world events, some might be inclined to write “Happy $%*!@ New Year” with expressive typographic characters standing in for inelegant cursing.
Or, maybe the greeting should include an ellipsis:
Happy New Year . . .
To mark it as a time to pause, reflect and consider.
What happens next is up to us.
I wish you a gentle beginning.

UPPERCASE is a promotional partner for Ali's Deep Dive course. Enrollment opens Jan 20.
The Quilted reprint preorder is going well, with 280 books preordered so far. I want to get to 400 books by the time this goes into production. I'm aiming to have it ready to ship to readers in March.
I'm holding the preorder price at CA$50 for a few more weeks (the book's final cover price will be CA$60–65, depending on the print run). If you're shopping from the USA, the price will be converted to USD and includes a small brokerage fee—even though books are exempt from tariffs, they still have to go through a brokerage to cross the border.
Preorders outside of North America are not available at this time. However, once the reprint is released, overseas customers will be able to purchase Quilted directly from UPPERCASE, from our UK distributor or our network of stockists.
The UPPERCASE Sampler is a great place to start! For just CA$85, you get a Little U volume 3, Rag & Pulp, three back issues and Lisa Congdon's Collection a Day housed in a collectible tin. That's 1,532 pages of inspiration, available to ship in North America. Save nearly 50%!
Extended deadline! January 20.
