Yesterday, I went to Pioneer Acres near Irricana, Alberta. They had tractor pulls, a horse parade, wheelsmithing and more, but the highlight for me was the linoleum floors in The Long House, built in 1914. Just look at 'em!!!

These watercolours feature woodland scenes of whimsy and magic. The Autumn Spirits print, full of mushrooms and fall leaves, the Matcha Morning print featuring one of my favourite beverages with all its accoutrements, and the Portrait of Possums & Raccoons border print all bring playful reverence for the natural world around us and the life we create within it. I hope my work encourages viewers to look more closely at the nature around them and notice the moments of magic that happen every day when you pause to interact with beings other than humans. Mirela Popescu
I’m a surface pattern designer, illustrator and lettering artist based in Bucharest, Romania. Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved to draw and create with my hands. But, like many of us, I chose a more "practical" path and worked in corporate marketing for several years. Even though it taught me a lot, I always felt like something was missing.
Everything changed after I became a mother. Staying home with my kids gave me the chance to slow down and reconnect with my creative side. I picked up my pencils again, and little by little, I found my way back to art. That’s when I decided to follow my passion and become an artist—and I’ve never felt more fulfilled. Instagram / Website
